We believe that all of what we enjoy in life is a gift from God. God gives us many opportunities to be generous in response, and gives us joy when we share what we have with others.

At First Mennonite, there are many ways to share your gifts. Leading the community in public ways (in worship, preaching and teaching), volunteering time to help the ministry of the church, praying for others, serving and visiting those in need, sharing artistic creativity, cooking and sharing food at community meals, just to name a few.

When it comes to financial gifts, you can share a gift in worship, online, or by mail.

In worship:

We pass offering plates for cash or cheques, to support the work of the church. In addition, we collect a special cash offering for a community or global project. Everyone is invited to walk forward and place coins or cash in a basket.  For those giving by monthly pre-authorized debit, re-usable offering cards in the foyer are available to allow worshippers to participate in the physical act of putting their offering in the plate.

Online:

E-transfers can be sent to office@firstmennonitekitchener.ca through the Transfer link on your banking web site. E-transfers will be securely and automatically deposited into the church’s bank account.

If a security question & answer is required, use the word “Blessed” as the answer.  In the comment line, note “Donation” or make a particular designation such as “Elders Mutual Aid Fund”.

Monthly Pre-Authorized Debit donations from your bank account can be arranged by contacting Sandra Baez, our church Administrative Assistant office@firstmennonitekitchener.ca;

Credit card donations can be made through CanadaHelps by clicking the button below.  About 4% of the donation will be withheld for processing fees.

By mail:

Cheques can be mailed to First Mennonite Church, 800 King St E, Kitchener ON  N2G 2M6, or dropped off in the mailbox near the Peace Pole. If it is designated to a particular ministry, please mark that on the cheque.
