Home Groups

Come and join our families of faith.

Home groups are small groups of individuals and families, ranging in size from 10-25 people. They meet once a month, in homes around KW, to eat, pray, share life, and explore what it means to follow Jesus together.

Each home group is completely unique. Some have only adults, and some have families with children. Some spend much of their time in conversation and prayer, while others meet out in the community, do hands-on activities, or get active. Whoever you are, and however you grow as a disciple, there is a home group for you! One of our pastors can help you find the right fit.

Soccer on Saturdays

Everyone welcome. Period.

Soccer on Sundays is your chance to play the beautiful game, regardless of age, experience or skill level. All are welcome!

Catch us outdoors (at Sheppard Public School) when the weather is nice or at various indoor fields around KW in the colder months. Come to kick the ball around, or cheer, chat and share a cup of coffee on the sidelines. Times and locations change with the weather so please do call the church office for the most recent information.

Youth Mentoring

Building meaningful relationships across generations.

For individuals in grades 7-12+, we offer the opportunity to be paired with an adult mentor in the congregation. Mentor pairs explore and live out what it means to follow Jesus together. We try to create compatible matches based on interests, location, and personality. Some mentor pairs spend their time in conversation, or exploring a common interest. Others volunteer in the church or community.

We believe that each person, no matter what their age, is gifted by God, and called to bring their whole self into relationship with Jesus. Our teens and pre-teens are no exception. Mentor relationships provide a safe place, outside of the family, to learn about God, with and from each other.

Women

We welcome women of all ages to connect and serve together!

Our main women’s group, WMSC (Women’s Mission and Service Commission), meets every second Tuesday from September – June, from 9:30 AM – 3 PM, to quilt, knot comforters, share lunch and pray together. Women of all ages are welcome.

Knotting comforters is for everyone, and no skill is required! Comforters and quilts are either auctioned to raise money for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), or donated to MCC, and shipped domestically and internationally for humanitarian relief.

First Friday Ladies Group is a gathering of women who get together for lunch, prayer and to support one another on the first Friday of each month.

Seniors

Fellowship, learning and fun for older adults.

*Please note that, for the time being, Seniors outings are cancelled due to COVID*

Our Seniors stay busy with monthly road trips to various locations around the KW area and beyond. For updated dates and information, contact the church office.
