This Weekend ~ May 18-19, 2019

Greetings All! ¡Saludos a todos!
We’ve been listening to indigenous voices these last weeks, both in person and via the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action. What have you heard? More to the point: What is the Spirit saying to First Mennonite Church? We hope you’ll join us for the third in our series.

Messy Church meets in the East Hall for all who long for an interactive, intergenerational experience of faith.
Youth & Adults meet in the West Hall. This week our sister Barbara Hurford, who has Ojibwe heritage and worked with the Indigenous community in Toronto for 30 years, shares her story.
10:45 Worship–The book of Revelation contains a letter to each of the seven churches of Asia Minor. Sometimes caustic and sometimes consoling, the letters remind us that the Spirit is also interested in us, especially as we aspire to listen to voices that have long been silenced. What do we hear? Rene Baergen preaching.
