This Weekend ~ May 12-13

Greetings FMC family. ¡Saludos a todos!  We’re looking forward to focusing ourselves in worship this weekend. Please join us! Dios nos invita enfocar en El este fin de semana. ¡Les esperamos!

Saturday May 12, 9-11:30 am. Worship & Faith Formation Visioning Meeting. Pastors, Elders, and others involved in planning and leading in worship, faith formation and other areas of church ministry join together to talk, pray and discern how the Spirit has been at work among us, and what God might be inviting us into in the coming year. You are welcome too!

Lunch meeting for Elders to follow.

Sábado/Saturday, 6:00 pm  

Continuamos profundizando en la reacción de la primera iglesia cristiana frente al cambio, esta semana según Pablo y la carta a los Romanos.
No habrá culto el 19 de mayo (fin de semana largo) y el 26 de mayo estamos en New Hamburg.
¡Que Dios nos sigue guiando y fortaleciendo!

Saturday, 6:30 pm at FMC: Treats & Compete for Kenya: Join Noramy Gonzalia Diaz for desserts, board games, a silent auction and a Settlers of Catan tournament, raising funds for Camp Friends United in Nairobi, Kenya, where Noramy hopes to volunteer this summer. $5/person for dessert/board games; $10 to join the tournament (register with Noramy no later than May 9); $35 for a ‘share’ that will get you an evening of food and reporting when Noramy returns.  

Sunday/Domingo

9:30-10:30 am – Faith Formation classes
Adults in May — Keith Regehr explores the relationship of doubt and faith and invites us into the conversation with short videos and music to give expression to doubt and confusion.
Youth last in the Healthy Sexuality series, shared jointly with Rockway Mennonite Church youth and leaders, and Scott Albrecht, meeting at FMC.
All Generations in Messy Church — ages 0-100, hands on, intergenerational learning & connections with God & each other.

10:45 amThe story of Jesus’ ascension in Luke and Acts looks to be a story about Jesus. Look closer, though, and you’ll see that it’s also a story about focus. What are the disciples focused on? What are you focused on? What are we focused on? Rene Baergen preaching.
