This Weekend ~ December 9-10

Greetings FMC family. ¡Saludos a todos! We are in the season of Advent, surrounded by darkness, yet invited into God’s purposes for us, as individuals and as a community. We proclaim again with Mary, Let it be with us according to your word!”

Christmas Dinner for everyone! Invite friends and family to join in, and plan to bring one or two of your favourite Christmas dishes to feed about 15 people – cold salads, hot vegetables, buns and butter, cranberry sauce, or desserts; the rest, including turkey, rice & potatoes will be provided.

Sunday/Domingo
9:30 am Adult Faith Formation – Tom Yoder Neufeld leads us in an analysis of the “Nativity” as presented in different works of art. What is meaningful in their depictions? Send Tom art or pictorial depictions of the birth of Jesus as attachments so he can include them.
Messy Church – 0-100 year olds, gather in the East Hall for a multi-sensory, intergenerational, experiential-based approach to spirituality, worship and the Bible.
Youth Class – join the adults for Advent refreshments, and an exploration into nativity scenes.

10:45 am – We gather in worship to offer a blessing upon parents and their little ones. Join us after the service for a reception to personally welcome all of  them. Continuing in Advent, with the prophet Isaiah, we anticipate the One who is coming, and invite God’s grace to level the mountains, around us and within us, that stand in His way. Let the mountains fall. Let it be so!
